EAKLY, Okla. – It is common for parents to have a photographer take photos of their little bundle of joy.

A photograph by an Oklahoma photographer of an entire family is spreading on Facebook.

Sierra Sharry had an unusual request when she brought her 6-month-old son, Taos, to be photographed.

“They asked me if I would be willing to “play around” with capturing their first family photo by editing Taos’ daddy in one of their pictures,” the photographer wrote on Facebook.

On Facebook, Sierra shared her love story with Lane Smith.

When Sierra found out she was pregnant, she says she and Lane were scared but ready for a new adventure.

When she was eight months pregnant, she and Lane went to the jet boat races in El Reno.

After she began to feel overheated, she decided to go home early.

Tragically, Lane hit his head and was rushed to an Oklahoma City hospital for treatment.

“July 13th 2014 was the absolute worst day of my life. I lost my best friend. The father of my unborn child. And since that day I have felt so empty inside. A part of me will forever be missing. I loved that man more than life itself,” Sierra wrote.

Sierra said the photo posted on Kayli Rene Photography’s Facebook page is exactly how she pictures her life.

“Taos and I living our lives the best we can with Lane ALWAYS watching over our shoulder. He is watching out for his little boy better than anyone and I know he’s got to be so proud. I love my little family sooooo much and I’m proud to be the mother to Lanes little boy,” Sierra wrote.

Since the photo was posted to Facebook, Sierra told KFOR that the photographer has been flooded with similar requests from all over the country.

A trust fund has been set up for Taos at Legacy Bank in Binger under the name “Lane Frost Smith Tragedy Support Trust.”
