Florida (WESH) — Family and friends are mourning the loss of a 13-year-old Florida girl who died after being hit by a car.

Apopka police said Trinity Bachmann was sitting in the middle of the road, angry about who would get to sit in the front seat during a ride home.

Her mother was attempting to get her out of the roadway when a car hit both of them. Her mother survived, but Trinity didn’t make it.

“I was told God takes the ones He needs, and He needed her. So we just have to be strong and be together,” Trinity’s sister, Ana Cruz, said.

Trinity’s family wants everyone to know that she was “loving, energetic, full of life, she would do anything she could to help anyone,” and she loved animals.

Trinity was at the Central Florida Fair to show her pig for the Future Farmers of America program.

“She told me on Saturday, ‘I’m gonna win showmanship, Miss Kimmy,’ and I said ‘I believe you will,’ and she was determined to do that,” Kimmy Cravey said.

Trinity’s memorial services are being held later this week.
